During a regular weekly Blackboard Inc. maintenance window of 2:00 am to 6:00 am US Eastern on Friday, October 23rd, 2009, Blackboard Inc. Managed Hosting engineers will perform proactive maintenance at their Virginia Datacenter.

We do not anticipate this datacenter maintenance to impact Blackboard SafeAssign, Blackboard Sync, and Blackboard Scholar. However since these services are housed in their Virginia Data Center, we wanted to let you know that there is a small chance that these services might become unavailable for use.  In that unlikely case, users would not be able to submit assignments to Blackboard SafeAssign, utilize the notification capabilities as part of Blackboard Learn for iPhone and Facebook applications, or access their Blackboard Scholar bookmarks during this maintenance period. 

Blackboard Inc. has promised to make all efforts to keep the interruption to a minimum.
