Local Community Colleges say they are pleased to hear about this year's proposed budget.
Some Community Colleges in Michigan say they're happy that they won't be seeing any cuts in this year's proposed budget.
Matt Miller is spokesman for Mid Michigan Community College.
"Every area in the state is important and we need all those social services and all those critical areas to serve the residents of our state. But I think we're seeing at a state level is that recognition that community colleges are proving training that will prepare people for jobs and we all need those jobs to be developed. So that's pretty key right now."
The proposed cuts still have yet to go to the senate and have until Oct 1 to be finalized.
