Granholm cuts $212 million more from schools

This is a developing story, and will be updated as more information becomes available.

LANSING - Governor Jennifer Granholm has ordered another round of funding cuts for K-12 schools, citing a hole in the budget passed by the legislature caused by declining state revenues.

The Legislature has 30 days to come up with $212 million to patch the hole.

The $127 per student cut is on top of a $165 cut included in the school budget she signed into law this week.
